Therapy Intensives

A little more time. A whole lot of focus.

Sometimes a child benefits from having a concentrated block of therapy around one specific goal.

Our intensives give your child the opportunity to work closely with an Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist over a short, focused period , with time to practise, build skills and really get stuck into something that matters to them.

Choose one goal. Make a plan. Work on it together. Take the learning home.

Occupational Therapy Intensives

Together, we'll identify what we're working towards and create a focused plan for the intensive. Sessions are practical, play-based and tailored to your child's strengths, interests and needs.

Depending on the goal, this might involve building a new skill, practising something that's tricky, increasing independence or developing confidence with an everyday activity.

You'll also receive practical resources and ideas to take home, so you can keep practising and building on the work between sessions.

Choose your intensive

Our OT intensives are designed around one meaningful goal for your child.

Weekly Intensives

A focused block of weekly OT sessions, giving your child time to work towards a specific goal while still having space between sessions to practise at home.

School Holiday Intensive

Four or five  consecutive days of focused OT during the school holidays, designed to really immerse your child in their chosen goal.

Speech Pathology Intensives

Our Speech Pathology intensives provide a focused block of therapy around one specific communication, speech, language or literacy goal.

Your Speech Pathologist will work with you to identify the goal and develop a plan that gives your child lots of opportunities to practise, learn and build confidence.

Sessions are engaging and individualised, with resources and ideas to take home so the learning can continue beyond the intensive.

What does an intensive look like?

1. Choose a goal
We work with you to identify one meaningful goal to focus on.

2. Make a plan
Your therapist develops a focused plan around your child's needs, strengths and interests.

3. Get stuck in
We spend dedicated time working towards the goal through practical, engaging therapy.

4. Take it home
You'll receive resources, ideas and strategies to help keep practising at home.

5. Keep building
The aim isn't for the intensive to be the finish line. It's about giving your child a focused opportunity to build skills that can continue to grow beyond the therapy room.
